BEHIND THE SEAMS
EVO® BIO-NYLON
We use EVO® bio-nylon – a yarn derived not from petrochemicals but from castor beans. Castor beans are a totally renewable resource that can be collected, dried, and crushed into castor oil. This oil is then converted into PA11 polymer and ultimately into a high-performance yarn.

How it works.
Grown in semi-arid and sub-tropical climates in Asia and Africa, the castor bean is a fast-growing and naturally drought resistant perennial that doesn’t compete with food crops or contribute to deforestation. With its short growth cycle, the castor bean provides farmers with a highly profitable and renewable crop that can be harvested multiple times annually.
Not only is this yarn more environmentally friendly alternative to petroleum-based nylons, but it's 15% lighter than conventual yarns and offers superb durability.
EVO® by Fulgar is certified DIN CERTCO system and by the OEKO-TEX STD 100 CLASS I system. All these certifications vouch for the integrity of the fibre.
